For insurance companies

From policy dispatch to claims management: one secure platform for insurers

Protect policyholder data, streamline claims document exchange, and meet FINMA and GDPR requirements – all from one Swiss-hosted platform.

The reality

Why data security in insurance is more complex than it looks

Insurance companies handle some of the most personal data in existence: health records, financial details, identity documents. The regulatory frameworks governing that data are tightening, and the tools most insurers rely on weren't designed to keep up.

Claims documents still travelling by email

Medical records, damage assessments, and identity documents are exchanged at every stage of the claims process – often via email or unprotected portals. Each unencrypted exchange creates compliance exposure and erodes the trust of policyholders at their most vulnerable.

Too many tools, not enough control

Core insurance platforms were built for policy management, not secure file exchange. The result is a patchwork of communication tools – email, portals, paper – that creates gaps exactly where regulators and auditors look hardest.

Tightening regulation, shrinking tolerance

Swiss insurers operate under FINMA's data governance requirements, while GDPR imposes strict rules on personal and health data across EU-connected operations. The margin for non-compliance is narrowing, and the documentation burden on compliance teams is growing.

One platform, built to grow with you

One secure data platform.
Four powerful modules.

SecureSafe brings your passwords, files, and document workflows into a single, secure platform – Swiss-hosted and built on zero-knowledge architecture. Use each module on its own, or combine them as your business grows.

Pass

Manage credentials across departments with zero third-party access

Give your team the freedom to focus on what they do best, not on password resets and access requests. With SecureSafe, you manage access data centrally, and maintain complete activity logs for regulatory reviews, without any credential ever leaving your control.

  • Claims team credential management
  • Compliance team shared vaults
  • Third-party vendor access control

Files

Structured, encrypted storage for sensitive policyholder and operational files

Store policyholder files, claims records, and compliance documentation in encrypted, permission-controlled safes – accessible to the right people, invisible to everyone else.

  • Policyholder file storage
  • Claims record management
  • Compliance document retention

Exchange

Replace insecure email with encrypted claims document exchange

Exchange medical records, damage assessments, and identity documents with policyholders and third parties – with automatic audit trails, completeness checks, and no account creation required on the recipient's end.

  • Claims document collection
  • Underwriting file exchange
  • Identity verification for new policies

Postbox

Replace paper-based policy dispatch with a compliant digital alternative

Policies, benefit statements, and regulatory notices are delivered digitally, stored long-term, and remain under the legal ownership of the recipient – permanently stored, unalterable, and audit-ready.

  • Policy dispatch and renewal
  • Delivery of end-of-year tax statements
  • Regulatory notice delivery

"Companies need clear guidelines, a vision and mission in order to make targeted progress in the area of sustainability. Ultimately, however, it is the people behind the efforts that really make the difference – their day-to-day contributions make sustainable change possible."

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Hier finden Sie Antworten auf Ihre wichtigsten Fragen.

Is SecureSafe built for businesses our size, or is it primarily an enterprise product?

SecureSafe was originally developed for enterprise environments, which means the security architecture underneath is robust. But the platform is designed to be used without a dedicated IT team or lengthy implementation project. Whether you're a team of five or fifty, the modules work out of the box; you start with what you need and expand from there.

What does SecureSafe actually cost, and how is pricing structured?

SecureSafe is available in tiered plans based on the modules you need and the size of your team. Pricing is transparent and available directly on the pricing page; no hidden fees, no forced annual commitments at entry level.

Where is our data stored, and who can access it?

All data is hosted exclusively in Switzerland, on infrastructure owned and operated by SecureSafe. Swiss data protection law applies. No data is routed through or stored in EU or US jurisdictions. Due to our zero-knowledge architecture, SecureSafe has no technical ability to access your data; access is controlled entirely by your organization.

How long does implementation take, and what does onboarding involve?

Implementation timelines depend on the modules deployed and your existing infrastructure. For most insurers, initial deployment can be completed within a few weeks. Our team handles onboarding directly, with a dedicated contact through go-live and beyond. API integrations into existing claims or customer portals are supported where relevant.
