VZ Safe: Digital Safe Deposit Box with Swiss Security Standards

In the VZ Finance Portal, clients can manage and monitor all their finances, investments, mortgages, insurance policies and pension funds. They now also have access to a digital safe: VZ Safe. VZ Safe is suitable for storing wills, marriage contracts, tax documents, purchase agreements, receipts, passwords and private photos. All data is encrypted and stored on servers in Switzerland in accordance with the highest banking standards. Thanks to single sign-on integration, clients can switch from the VZ Financial Portal to VZ Safe at any time and from anywhere, allowing them to access their documents on their computer, tablet or smartphone.

A Step into the Future

VZ Safe is an important step towards digitalisation at the interface with customers – in other words, where savers and investors interact with VZ Depotbank. This step makes contact and communication faster and more convenient. It also makes an important contribution to the environment, as everything is paperless. In the next phase of the project, it will also be possible to exchange documents between VZ advisors via VZ Safe. This will allow even complex banking transactions to be carried out more efficiently and with the highest security standards.

The Three Main Functions of VZ Safe at a Glance

1. Password Manager for Logins

Managing all your passwords in one place is one thing above all else: incredibly convenient. In addition to securely storing login information, the password manager in VZ Safe also offers a password generator and a password checker that alerts customers to weak or repeatedly used passwords.

2. File Manager for Storing and Managing Documents

VZ Safe also features a file manager in which important documents such as contracts, insurance documents and other records are secured multiple times. For easy management, Smart Find will soon offer a powerful search function that allows VZ customers to easily search through encrypted documents. Each document is subjected to content analysis for personal names, locations, organisations and other relevant terms in the search index. This makes it easier to find content more completely, accurately and efficiently.

3. Digital Mailbox for the Delivery of Bank Documents

VZ Safe also has a digital mailbox where all bank documents, such as account statements or quarterly reports, can be delivered digitally and in an environmentally friendly manner. Unlike e-banking, documents in VZ Safe leave the bank's access area. This means that the documents can be stored without any time restrictions, as confirmed by a ruling of the European Court of Justice.
